Season starts: inline hockey in Barcelona with Uroloki

Uroloki starts the 2026–2027 season on skates, even on a public holiday. Discover beginner skating and after-school inline hockey in El Clot.

Season starts: inline hockey in Barcelona with Uroloki

There are many ways to start September. Ours involves skates, a helmet and a stick. At Uroloki, the 2026–2027 season is getting underway, and we are looking forward to meeting again on the rink, finding our rhythm and continuing to learn together.

And yes: we train on public holidays too. On 11 September, we met on skates at Pavelló Clot de la Mel. It was a session to start the season with movement, technique and the enjoyment of inline hockey. These photos capture a small part of our return to the rink.

Back to the basics to keep improving

The cones, goals and puck are back in place. The photos show skating and stickhandling exercises, with players working close to the coaches. These movements are repeated many times and help build the foundations of the game: controlling the body, steering the skates and guiding the puck while staying aware of what is happening nearby.

The start of the season is a good time to revisit those foundations. Scoring a goal is only one part of it. Completing a turn with more control, understanding an instruction or trying an exercise again also matters. Progress comes one training session at a time.

A new season for complete beginners too

September brings another question for many families: “Which after-school activity would suit us this year?” If your child is curious about skating, Uroloki offers a way to discover sport with support and room to progress within a club.

Children do not need to know how to play inline hockey before they arrive. For beginners, the first step is to feel more confident on skates. The stick, puck and team play follow as each child becomes ready.

For younger children, our skating school for ages 6 to 10 —or age 5 with some skating ability— introduces our approach to balance, play and first steps. For families looking for an activity during the school year, the after-school skating and inline hockey page explains how to get started and how children can progress with the club.

Skates, teammates and a routine to look forward to

We want returning to training to mean reconnecting with others too. Learning to listen, taking part in exercises together and enjoying teammates’ progress are all part of club life.

This public-holiday session shows the enthusiasm we bring to the new season. Families can ask about the group and sessions that suit them. Please confirm the schedule with us before coming along, including on public holidays.

Would you like to try a session in El Clot?

We train at Pavelló Clot de la Mel, in Sant Martí, Barcelona. If you are considering an after-school activity or beginner skating, tell us your child’s age, whether they have skated before and when you are available. We will help you find a group and explain the schedule and equipment for a first trial.

You can read about the first class or ask about a group and trial on WhatsApp.

The season is rolling. See you on the rink.
